Ron Sentell enjoys photographing scenic landscapes, waterscapes, and wildlife. His love of nature began as a child with his family camping and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. After retiring as an electrical engineer with the Department of Energy, Ron studied photography at the University of Tennessee and Pellissippi State Community College. Now, he spends time capturing images of God’s majestic creation to share with others in prints and notes of praise and encouragement. His images have won awards in the Southern Appalachian Nature Photography Club, the Camera Club of Oak Ridge, the Wilderness Wildlife Week, the Tennessee Valley Fair, and the Ijams Nature Center.
This site is about images of a wildflower, the brilliant colors of fall in the Smoky Mountains, the golden rays of a sunrise streaming into Cades Cove, a majestic waterfall, or the wonder of a new morning reflected in the eyes of a fawn or the eye of soaring bird. This site is about encouraging viewers to share images through notecards and prints with friends and others who are unable to get out and enjoy such scenes for themselves. Such pictures can be used to begin a note or a conversation that connects with a friend or acquaintance.
